Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 1979 by Al Newhouse, make up 78% of this blended wine. The remaining blend includes 12% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot.
The grapes were hand picked at optimum ripeness and maturity from the south facing slopes of Upland Vineyards, located on Snipe Mountain, widely considered the birthplace of Washington Wine.
This wine was crafted in small lots and aged 22 months in French oak barrels, then blended and bottled, non-filtered.
